In early September, the Charity Commission for England and Wales published details of a consultation about proposed changes to the annual return that larger registered UK charities are required to submit
According to the consultation paper, the Charity Commission wants to ensure that the questions:
a. reflect its risk priorities (fraud and financial abuse, public trust and confidence, safeguarding, terrorism and extremism)
b. help tackle new regulatory risks as they emerge
c. strengthen the sector’s accountability
The deadline for responses to the consultation is 5pm on 24 November 2017
