La pubblicazione, commissionata da Hivos nell’ambito del programma Voices for Just Climate Action (VCA), ha l’obiettivo di conoscere meglio il potere dell’arte. In particolare, come può essere utilizzata nella difesa della giustizia climatica, per mobilitare e rafforzare il movimento per la giustizia climatica attraverso l’inclusività, la creatività e l’innovazione. Lo studio, condotto da Profundo, traccia una mappa dei molteplici modi in cui l’arte può sostenere la giustizia climatica. Presenta inoltre dieci casi di studio e si conclude con opportunità, sfide e raccomandazioni per promuovere l'”artivismo” nel campo della giustizia climatica.

Despite concerns from across the social sector, the reality is that the giving ecosystem is characterized by abundance, with the overwhelming majority of people actively participating in it through acts of generosity of all shapes and sizes.
The commitment people show to supporting their communities is not an abstract and separate culture – when communities care for themselves, they need institutions less. There is a need for a robust and relevant data environment that captures all of the giving happening around us. And outreach activities that reflect and leverage the true richness, diversity, and strength of the giving ecosystem.
The report sets out an approach to measuring and understanding the generosity ecosystem. Establishing new baselines and new metrics and beginning to draw new conclusions. The report offers a snapshot of the past year in giving, yet more importantly, it lays a foundation that will permit to track trends and generate real-time insights in the future.
