FONDO DELL’UE PER LA GIUSTIZIA, I DIRITTI E I VALORI: L’UNIONE EUROPEA PREVEDE 800 MILIONI € IN PIÙ
L’aumento del fondo dell’Unione Europea per la giustizia, i diritti e i valori, che deve ancora essere formalmente adottato, è un passo importante, fortemente voluto e su cui ha lavorato Philanthropy Advocacy, iniziativa congiunta di DAFNE (Donors and Foundations Networks in Europe) e EFC (European Foundation Centre), con diversi rappresentanti della società civile.
Il rafforzamento di questo fondo soddisfa una delle richieste presenti nel Manifesto europeo della filantropia , che mette al centro la necessità di assicurare fondi adeguati per le organizzazioni della società civile in modo che possano, nel medio-lungo periodo, promuovere i diritti fondamentali, lo stato di diritto, e la democrazia.

ACF (Association of Charitable Foundations) ha pubblicato questo nuovo rapporto, che evidenzia 10 raccomandazioni rivolte ai Presidenti e le più alte cariche dei board delle fondazioni. Questo lavoro si basa su quanto emerso nelle precedenti sei pubblicazioni, ognuna focalizzata su uno specifico tema, nell’ambito dell’iniziativa Stronger Foundations.

Questo lavoro mira a fornire maggiori informazioni e approfondimenti sugli investimenti ad impatto sociale nel Paese e fornisce un’immagine nitida delle varie differenze che intercorrono tra i diversi Stati del continente.

CIVITATES AWARD GRANTS WORTH 2.467.000€ TO 11 INDEPENDENT PUBLIC-INTEREST JOURNALISM ORGANISATIONS ACROSS EUROPE
Civitates has awarded grants worth €2,467,000 to 11 independent public-interest journalism organisations to support the general operations of the organisations and strengthen independent journalism across Europe.
The grants, awarded over 3 years, will form part of Civitates long-term support to the organisations, as they seek to ensure they develop in a sustainable, resilient, and interconnected way. The 11 organisations, based in 8 countries, will begin receiving their grants in the beginning of 2021.
