La ricerca, pubblicata da Legacy Future, ha rivelato forti differenze tra le coorti generazionali per quanto riguarda la ricchezza, il suo utilizzo, l’età in cui le persone raggiungono le pietre miliari della vita e il loro atteggiamento nei confronti delle donazioni in eredità.
IL POTERE DI UN’AZIONE CLIMATICA EQUA, CHE INTEGRI LA LENTE DI GENERE, E L’URGENTE NECESSITÀ DI FINANZIAMENTI
Meno dell’1% di tutti i finanziamenti filantropici per il clima si concentra esplicitamente su azioni che integrino la lente di genere. La crisi climatica non è neutra dal punto di vista del genere: nasce da un sistema profondamente intrecciato con il sessismo, il razzismo, l’abitudinarietà, le discriminazioni e il capitalismo estrattivo. Mentre i dati e i rapporti evidenziano il crescente divario di finanziamento, il coordinamento e la consapevolezza dei meccanismi di finanziamento esistenti sono insufficienti per incanalare questa urgenza nell’azione, su larga scala. La campagna Roots Rising per un finanziamento climatico equo dal punto di vista del genere offre proprio questo.

TOWARDS HOLISTIC IMPACT MEASURES IN ED TECH
For some time, the philanthropic sector has grappled with perplexing dichotomies in leveraging education technology (EdTech) to impact children’s learning. Should EdTech investments prioritize bolstering fundamental learning skills such as literacy and mathematics, or should they foster the dispositions crucial for broader competencies like creativity and critical thinking? Should funding be allocated towards quantifiable proof of EdTech’s impact through experiments, or towards participatory research in local communities? As the field strives to strike a balance between these approaches, a new imbalance is emerging: a narrow understanding of evidence of which approach works best.
