La prima domanda che una fondazione si pone è: “Come possiamo realizzare la nostra missione?” e la seconda è: “Di cosa abbiamo bisogno per farlo?”. Quando le fondazioni sollevano le questioni relative alla diversità, all’equità e all’inclusione in risposta a queste domande, i temi hanno maggiori possibilità di rimanere sul tavolo e di influenzare il lavoro di tutti.

The COVID-19 pandemic has left many unprecedented records in the history of the world. The coronavirus crisis was the first large-scale pandemic that began in a time when the internet and social media connect people to each other. It provided the latest information to respond to the COVID-19 and the technology to ask about each other’s well-being. Yet, it spread and amplified disinformation and misinformation that made the situation worse in real-time.
LISTENING FOR RADICALLY DIFFERENT FUNDING REALITIES AND ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE
This year’s Commission of the Status of Women (CSW)’s theme was ‘Achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls in the context of climate change, environmental and disaster risk reduction policies and programmes’. Looking at this as an insider in the funding world as well as an activist, I am appreciative of the imperative value of promoting environmental justice to advance gender equality.
