La Global Alliance for the Future of Food ha valutato come 14 paesi hanno incorporato i sistemi alimentari nei loro contributi determinati a livello nazionale (Nationally Determined Contributions NDC) fino ad oggi. Progettato come un kit di strumenti per i decisori politici e altri stakeholder interessati, le valutazioni, i casi di studio dei Paesi, e il rapporto riassuntivo che compongono l’intera suite di materiali evidenziano le molte opportunità per i governi di utilizzare la trasformazione dei sistemi alimentari per guidare significative riduzioni delle emissioni di gas serra, così come altri benefici sociali, ambientali e sanitari.
UK FOUNDATIONS FAILING AT DIVERSITY, SUGGESTS NEW RESEARCH
An analysis of 100 foundations in the UK found that on average, most foundations have poor practice when it comes to diversity.
This finding was published in Foundation Practice Rating, a detailed assessment of foundation practices on accountability, diversity, and transparency conducted by Giving Evidence – the first report that has ever independently assessed UK charitable foundations against these criteria.
Only one foundation published their trustees’ diversity breakdown, the Rating found, and the average grade for diversity across the foundations sampled was a D – the lowest score on their rubric. No foundation scored an A.
LAUDES FOUNDATION’S LESLIE JOHNSTON NAMED CHAIR OF EVPA
The European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA) has named its next chair. Last week, the EVPA board unanimously endorsed Leslie Johnston, CEO of Laudes Foundation and EVPA board member, as chair-elect. Johnston will take over from Steven Serneels, chairman of the board since September 2020, subject to an annual general meeting which sees the re-appointment of board members and the convening of the subsequent board meeting in June.

The Global Association of Master’s in Development Practice Programs (MDP), in collaboration with the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), will hold the Tenth Annual International Conference on Sustainable Development (ICSD) on 19-20 September, 2022 virtually. If you would like to present at the conference, you must submit an abstract as directed below. The conference is also open to observers (i.e. non-presenters). Simply register on the conference website to join us. Registration will open in July 2022. The conference theme this year celebrates our 10-year anniversary: A Decade of ICSD. The aim of the conference is to bring together persons involved in research, policy, practice, and business.
