In partnership with DG ECFIN, Philea will host “Diving into the “EU Philanthropic Capital study” – Mission-Related Investments and Foundations” on 7 March, to explore the new EU Philanthropic Capital study.

The debate surrounding the mobilisation of philanthropic capital towards Mission-Related Investments (MRI) saw new momentum within the context of the Social Economy Action Plan. What are some trends across Europe on foundations’ MRI? What possibilities can financial instruments offer that enable more MRI? What synergies can we identify between foundations’ MRI and current EU policy windows under InvestEU? Join us as we dive into the recently published EU Philanthropic Capital study which draws on a sample of twenty-three foundations across Europe whose aggregate assets are estimated to be worth €255 billion.
